PASS Card

According to the Department of State, the US Government will soon begin issuing the People Access Security Service (PASS) Card.

According to a source in the industry, the first cards will begin printing June 19, with full production coming online later in the year. While this card will enable North American travel—inline with the Western Hemisphere Travel Initiative (WHTI)—it will not be able to be used as a traditional passport…yet. Obviously, the PASS card will utilize RFID technology.
